After talking about moving for a few years it was finally time to make it happen. Hopefully getting the girls their own rooms will result in less fighting and more peace and quiet.
First, however, there was a lot of things to pack and move to the new place.
It was a lot of work but there was some fun to be had as well.
The girls didn’t really help much but at least they got invested in building their new IKEA lamps for their rooms.
We were lucky with the weather during most of the move but towards the end we did get a day with some pretty heavy snow. So here’s the view from our new balcony during snowfall.
Things were a bit provisional for a while, with the floor being used for a variety of activities.
It took the cat several days before he even dared to come out from his favorite hiding place under our mattress. Eventually he settled in and started to relax though.
The flat wasn’t the only thing that got a makeover. There was also time to try a new haircut with bangs, which turned out quite well.
